         GET INVOLVED

WE INVITE YOU to be part of the change. Together, UNITED, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.

The United Way is only as effective as our resources allow us to be. We invest considerable energy trying to maximize the resources available to us.

Volunteering is an extremely powerful way to create positive change in Mineral County. There is real value to volunteering and with that value, real return. We encourage our friends in Mineral County to get involved at some level with the community. Learn more about volunteer opportunities by reading information on some of our committees below.

Mineral County Community Response Volunteers!

Community Response

Are you concerned about the needs of our community? Do you like to spend money? Can you ask tough questions? If you answered yes, the Community Response Committee may be the volunteer opportunity for you. Community Response is the process by which United Way volunteers determine what agency programs are funded and at what level. The process usually begins with an orientation in late January or February and agencies meetings in March or April. Number of volunteer hours varies by county.

 Campaign

United Way’s annual campaign is an integral part of the United Way system. In order to fund program for agencies, a successful fund raising campaign must be run. United Way is always looking for volunteers to help in recruiting new and veteran companies to run employee giving campaigns. Volunteers can choose to recruit in any division (divisions vary by county). Volunteer hours vary by division and county.

The planning process for each event begins early in the year with monthly meetings. The Mineral County Day of Caring & Sharing will take place on Thursday, October 13. If you would like to volunteer for the event please call the United Way office and ask for Linda.
